Royce helped advocate for peer-to-peer mentoring language that was included in NC House Bill 257, which passed into law as Session Law 2023-134. This legislative achievement reflects her commitment to turning youth voices into real, lasting policy change.

As a board member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Royce works to reduce stigma, expand access to mental health resources, and ensure that young people's mental health needs are centered in community conversations.
